- The new Ventura is an extremely versatile BCD. This lightweight back inflation BC, which weighs less than 5 lbs, is fantastic for travel. But it is also a great BCD for local diving. Whether diving in Cozumel or the Great Lakes the Ventura is designed from the ground up to be the best BC in class.
At only 4.7 pounds, it’s much more than the typical lightweight BC. The VENTURA air cell is made of TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) material that combines extraordinary strength and durability with the unique ability to dry almost instantly. No matter how long you dive, the TPU will not absorb a single drop of water. After a dive, just a quick rinse and the VENTURA will be dry in minutes. The TPU material will NOT degrade from UV exposure. Known as photo-degradation, exposure to the ultraviolet rays of the sun brutalizes most materials, causing cracking, fading, loss of flexibility and strength. But TPU has exceptional resistance to UV rays, so the VENTURA will not fade even from long hours of exposure to sunlight.
This Double Coated TPU material is extremely durable, and as a result SHERWOOD increased the warranty on the bladder from 2 years to 5 years.
The VENTURA is rugged, extremely compact, exceptionally stable, and features a uniquely designed integrated weight release system. The quick-drop weight system is a very simple yet effective weight system that allows 16 pounds of easy dumpable weight.

The AMPHOS can be used as a daily watch while also providing all the computing power you need when diving.
The AMPHOS is base on the DSAT Decompression Model/Modified Haldanean. It has 5 operating modes: Air, Nitrox, Gauge, Free-diving, Watch and can calculate dives with 2 different gases (1x 21–50%O2 and 1x 21–100%O2). You can set an independent pO2 alarm for each gas. It features selectable audible alarms with flashing icons and loading bar graphs for nitrogen-loading, oxygen-loading (CNS clock) and the ascent speed.
The AMPHOS will turn on automatically when wet. Safety and deep stops will be automatically displayed with a countdown (minutes AND seconds).
The loogbook stores the complete information of 24 dives (3 screens each), in history mode it stores: total dives, max. depth, total dive hours and the lowest temperature. The battery can be changed by the user; stored data won't be lost during the battery swap.
Included in the package is an extension bracelet to wear the computer over a thick suit.
Our personal note: the DSAT decompression model is very well suited for cold water diving and the computer is doing well on decompression dives.
