The ATOMIC AQUATICS SUBFRAME mask is so durable, it carries a Lifetime warranty against frame breakage. The strength comes from the internal frame (subframe) molded directly beneath the surface of the silicone rubber skirt (patent pending). This subframe provides incredible strength and rigidity as well as eliminating the bulky external plastic frame in other masks. A stainless steel retainer locks the lenses in place and provides added strength to the nose bridge area of the mask. A wide field of view and great fit completes the combination of function, style and durability.
The SUBFRAME masks are available in standard and medium fit. The medium fit mask has a skirt designed for narrow faces.
The SUBFRAME features UltraClear lenses. Now what is that? Did you ever notice that normal dive mask lenses have a green tint to the glass? This is the result of iron impurities left over in lower quality “float” or window type glass. That green tint distorts true colors and blocks out some of the light that reaches the eye. UltraClear is a new and exciting optical quality glass with exceptional clarity and high light transmission, with no color distortion for improved visual acuity, especially underwater in low light conditions.
A wide selection of optical lenses is available, ranging from -1.0 to -8.0 in .5 diopter increments. They need to be ordered separately. If you order this mask and the corresponding optical lens(es) we will go ahead and install the optical lens(es) for you on the mask. If you wish to receive them separately please let us know when ordering. View optical lens options.

ATOMIC made a real effort to reinvent the snorkel. The SV snorkels have an internal tube with a one way scupper flap located inside the lower part of the snorkel. It works much like the scupper valve of a boat. Air needs to go through this piece of internal tube before reaching the mouthpiece. Any water entering the top of the snorkel (1) bypasses the mouthpiece completely and can be easily expelled through the purge valve (4). If water did enter the internal tube (2), the small one-way scupper flap valve (3) would allow water to flow past the mouthpiece and out the purge valve (4) without collecting at the bottom of the breathing passage. The diver simply exhales a small burst of air to clear any water trapped below the mouthpiece, and the internal tube airway is kept dry.
The SV2FLEX has semi-dry top with horizontal vents engineered to diffuse splashed water that would normally freely enter the snorkel top. The small gaps between the vanes of the vent restrict water speed and droplet size and permit most of the splashed water to exit the special vents without entering the breathing tube. The end result is less water in your snorkel. The SV2 is perfect for rough or choppy water conditions. The flexible lower section drops the mouthpiece out of the way when not in use. The dual silicone mouth piece prevents over-clenching of teeth that would restrict airflow.
Our personal note: we find all snorkels of the ATOMIC SV series to be the easiest to clear snorkels. No more tiny water drops entering your mouth with every breath. If any snorkel can be called dry, then it's the ATOMIC SV series, no matter if you choose an open or semi-dry design.

The ATOMIC AQUATICS X1 BladeFin has the backbone to control and maneuver in tight spaces, perfect for alternate kicking styles such as helicopter, scissors, backwards, flutter and frog-kicks. Another design attribute of the X1 BladeFin that contributes to improved alternate kicking styles is asymmetrical blade bend flexing which provides more feel and control of the fin to maneuver more effectively without folding.
EZ-LOK Buckle System: easily snap the buckle on and off. And be confident that it will not release accidentally. Buckles rotate 180 degrees and straps adjust with a simple pull.
Our personal note: you can easily see the difference between the BladeFin and the X1 BladeFin: look at the amount of high quality black silicone used vs. the lower quality material, the coloured plastic. The BladeFin has way more of the expensive silicone material. This helps to bend the fin more in the middle thus to capture more water with every kick and provide more forwards power. Now look at the X1 BladeFin: you will see much less of the high quality silicone is used resulting in a heavier fin that is capturing less water. You will need more effort to produce the same power.

1. Rigid Low-Profile Side Rails and Shorter, Stiffer Blade Makes turning and pivoting easier. Most fins have taller side rails for tracking and bending strength. The Atomic X1 BladeFin has lower profile rails with less side-to-side resistance that allow you to rotate, spin and turn more efficiently during alternate fin kicks.
2. Monocoque Structure and Power Plate Unique structural engineering design is connected to the low-profile rails, efficiently transferring power from the leg and foot to the rails.
3. Asymmetrical Blade Bend Flexing This design attribute is perfect for alternate kicking styles. Scissor kicks, frog-kicking and helicopter turning in tight circles put more emphasis on the up-kick or return stroke. For these kick styles, the X1 provides more feel and control of the fin to maneuver more effectively without folding under heavy load.
4. Vertical Stabilizers or Strakes Adds stability and lowers drag to keep the fin tracking straight as an arrow. Other fin designs use taller side rails to keep the fin tracking straight. By using strakes to straighten the fin, the X1 BladeFin does not add significant side drag like tall side rails.
