With the new SR2 SHERWOOD has upped the game – the SR2 competes easily with the top brand regs in terms of breathing effort. The SHERWOOD SR2 regulator packs advanced technology into a compact, very light case, utilizing a multitude of cutting edge materials.
With a work of breathing of less than 0.65 J/L (@ RMV = 62.5 l/min, depth = 50 m, service pressure = 50 bar), the SR2 delivers superior breathing performance.
1st stage: The SR2 features a two-piece piston design for easy maintenance and long life. The piston flow-through diameter is bigger than in most regular designs so more volume can flow through for easy breathing thus delievering superior breathing performance of less than 0.65 joules/liter, W.O.B. at 165 fsw, 62.5 RMV.
The SR2 is truly pneumatically-balanced: this means that air isn't just able to flow from one side of the chamber to the other through a hole. The SR2 has a mechanism that is pushing the air through. To keep the internal parts of the reg free from dirt, that can cause it to malfunction, it is completely environmentally sealed. The piston/spring chamber is surrounded by a membrane. This membrane doesn't move the piston like a diaphragm design 1st stage would, it's purpose is solely to seal the chamber without using sticky grease or oils while allowing the air pressure inside the chamber to adjust according to the ambient pressure, thus adjusting spring tension and creating a balanced 1st stage. A pneumatically balanced regulator ensures you get the same amount of air delivered whether you are at 3,000 psi or 500 psi thus improving the diving experience.
The 5 low pressure ports on a swivelling turret head give you lots of room for optimal hose routing.
2nd stage: The SR2 2nd stage is featuring a one-touch performance adjustment: both, Inhalation effort and venturi system (dive/pre-dive mode), can be controlled with one move of the hand.
Another revolutionary difference to most regulators is the SMART Demand Lever - the orifice is not screwed into its base, it can move. The sharp edge of the orifice is the part that is sealing against the teflon seat of the 2nd stage when you are not inhaling to stop the airflow. In common systems, when the reg is not used, these 2 parts are resting against each other, meaning the sharp edge of the orifice is cutting into the seat. With the SR2 these 2 parts don't rest on each other and the seat doesn't get used while in storage. Only when you turn on the tank (put air in the system) the flow of air will push the orifice against the seat, creating the seal.

THE SHERWOOD BLIZZARD has been a standard for divers in cold waters for the last 30 years. It has been the “go to” regulator for many Public Safety Dive Teams around the country because of its reliability in the colder waters and for its ease of service. In the summer of 2016 SHERWOOD introduced the new BLIZZARD PRO. The new unit has proven to be as reliable in all environments. With a completely new Valve Design, the new Blizzard Pro comes with improved breathing performance and enhanced cosmetics.
The ZEAGLE F8 is a balanced 2nd stage made for diving in cold water.
The redesigned heat sink dramatically increases surface area thus aiding in the heat exchange necessary to avoid freeze-up. In addition the heat sink and inlet tube are zirconium-plated for superior corrosion resistance.
A new inhalation diaphragm provides superior tear strength and improved response time to breathing (super soft silicone molded over a low friction disk). The improved exhaust valve ensures dryness and a lower exhalation effort.
Another revolutionary difference to most regulators is the seat-saving orifice. It is not screwed into its base, it can move. The sharp edge of the orifice is the part that is sealing against the teflon seat of the 2nd stage when you are not inhaling to stop the airflow. In common systems, when the reg is not used, these 2 parts are resting against each other, meaning the sharp edge of the orifice is cutting into the seat.
With the F8 these 2 parts don't rest on each other and the seat doesn't get used while in storage. Only when you turn on the tank (put air in the system) the flow of air will push the orifice against the seat, creating the seal.
The seat is made of soft silicone molded over a metal insert to deliver the firmness required for an airtight seal while maintaining the necessary elasticity to prevent leaking.
Redesigned front cover and inhalation effort control knob use co-molded components that provide the necessary grip, soft touch and ease of use.
Several color kits are available for the F8 2nd stage to perfectly match your gear or mark different gasses.
Colour kits available in: aqua, black, blue, pink, purple and red
Ships within: 1-4 business days. This item qualifies for free shipping within Canada! Restrictions apply, but very few. Please check our shipping policies for details.
The MAGNUM PRO is now a pneumatically balanced 2nd stage regulator. It uses the same technology and design that has earned the BRUT worldwide recognition for durability and reliability, bur the MAGNUM PRO goes a step further with an added Venturi device to reduce breathing resistance at the higher flow rates when it is needed the most. A flow control switch allows the diver to switch the Venturi effect off while at the surface or in shallow water to stabilize the regulator for better manageability.
