  • A hybrid harness designed for divers who want the support of a backpack-style harness for better weight-load distribution, yet wish to dive a hard metal backplate.

    Designed like a mountaineer's backpack, the TransPlate harness disperses weight across the hips and back, minimizing shoulder strain. When used with a 6-pound steel backplate, divers can remove or minimize weight.

    Adjustable straps adapt to a wide variety of exposure suits, that means easy donning and doffing. Marine grade stainless steel base plates allow for proper placement of the shoulder straps. The plates can be moved forward or backward on the waist strap to get the best fit and performance. The modular design allows for customization with a wide variety of pockets and accessories. Available in sizes M - XXL.

DIVE RITE BASIC HARNESS

  • For those who prefer a streamlined rig without buckles, chest strap or padding, the BASIC harness is a clean, simple harness intended for use with hard metal backplates.

    2-inch (50mm) nylon webbing provides strength, yet is soft and won't dig into the body. The harness is adjustable by cutting off excess webbing once diver has sized the harness to his body stature. The standard 2-inch webbing also allows for customization with a wide variety of pockets and accessories, depending on the needs and desires of the individual diver.

    Tubular webbing sleeves are included for all points where webbing comes into contact with the backplate to prevent abrasion.

DIVE RITE 2" CROTCH STRAP

  • This 2inch wide crotch strap is 42inches/106.6cm long and has a 2,800lbs tensile strength. Wide crotch straps are preferred by divers who use scooters (DPVs) for extended periods of time due to the added comfort the 2inch width provides.

    The crotch strap is used for fastening a harness and backplate securely to a diver's body. It reduces the likelihood of gear slipping upwards on the body in the water, resulting in the tank hitting the back of the head during a dive.

    A continuous piece of nylon webbing provides strength, yet is soft and won't dig into the body. This crotch strap includes a neoprene sleeve to protect your exposure suit from abrasion.

DIVE RITE NOMAD LS SIDEMOUNT SYSTEM

The next evolution in NOMAD Sidemount has come with the introduction of the NOMAD LS Sidemount System. The Nomad LS builds on its "L" series predecessors to be the most streamline and capable system in the family. The extremely durable exterior SuperFabric™ material is resistant to the elements of diving, whether diving on a quiet reef, pushing deep into a cave system, or scooting through a deck opening on a wreck dive. With the inflator and exhaust valves placed at the front/inside of the wing and not on the exterior, the valves are safe and free from exposure.

With 35 lbs (15.8 kg) of lift and a low profile design, the NOMAD LS performs in all levels of sidemount diving. With additional lift typically needed toward the lower back when sidemounting, the combination of its diamond shape and contour of the bladder create this lift achieving the optimum trim. A unique zero lift baffle at the top of the wing allows for air travel to the top dump, but prevents an air bubble from forming.

A deluxe-style webbing harness using pivot rings on the shoulders provides a comfortable and customizable fit for nearly any size diver. The SuperFabric™ shoulder strap pads provide added durability from abrasions along with a channel on the left shoulder strap for the exhaust valve’s pull dump cord allowing for easy access. The cross-chest strap and a 2-inch (5 cm) padded crotch strap holds the harness securely in place, preventing unwanted shifting or movement of the harness no matter what type of diving you’re doing. The harness on the LS is removable if it needs to be replaced in the future.
